A Long History of Excellence<\/span><\/h1>\n

Founded in 1786, Deakin & Francis, has long been established as jewellers and silversmiths. \u00a0Although it has gone through a few iterations of its name, it started as a family affair, and has continued as a family affair for the past 230 (+) years. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Today the company is run by the 7th generation of Deakins: Henry and James. \u00a0During school holidays, James and Henry would join their father at work, watching and learning from the craftsmen and attending trade shows in London and Switzerland. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

After their initial schooling, James studied at the Gemmological Institute of America and is a Graduate Jeweller Gemmologist and Designer, while Henry studied Gemmology at the International Gemmological Institute in Vicenza and is a Graduate Gemmologist.<\/span><\/p>\n

James is passionate about designing new cufflinks, while Henry is focused on extraordinary customer service and building the brand. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Today Deakin & Francis is a great example of craftsmen at their best ranging from metalworkers who stamp blanks ready for the workshop and enamellers who are involved in the delicate work of appyling vitreous enamelling, to polishers who prepare the product ready to sell. <\/span>
