Jan Leslie began her own line of cufflinks after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania and spending some time consulting with a large accounting firm. \u00a0Her passion for design led her to open her own jewelry design business. \u00a0Eighteen years later, her line includes a diverse collection of men’s accessories that are sold exclusively in a handful of select luxury stores around the globe (including <\/span>here at Cufflinks Depot<\/b><\/a><\/span>). \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jan Leslie is well-known for her collection of sterling silver hand-painted enamel pieces that use artisanal methods to produce unique works with understated elegance. \u00a0According to their <\/span>website<\/b><\/a><\/span>, this \u201ccreative process begins with the study of the actual subject–insect, animal or otherwise. Next a wax prototype is sculpted then cast in sterling silver and polished smooth. The creation is then individualized through a technique of meticulously hand painting layers of enamel, creating the desired blend of color and luminescence.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
