Shibe Park is a true Philadelphia landmark. Home of the Philadelphia Athletics, it was opened in 1909 and was known as the first steel and concrete stadium. Sadly, it was closed in 1970. The name of the stadium was also the Connie Mack stadium after the Philadelphia A's owner, Connie Mack.
